Poor quality for water filtration and softening
I'm not sure what's going on but I think you get what you pay for. The water is unfiltered. It doesn't taste bad, but something is wrong, kind of a plastic aftertaste. I checked the unfiltered water supply with a Total Dissolved Solvents (TDS) meter and got a reading of 54 (not too bad, surprisingly). When I checked the water after filtering, the TDS went up to 107! This actually adds something to the water, hence the unusual taste. Not sure if this is safe (made in china?). I spend more for a filter from the manufacturer.
