After much troubleshooting I found out that the cause was the starter relay for my bike (1995 Honda Shadow VLX) was. it started out unevenly and eventually wouldn't stop starting at all. Actually, Revain was the first place I looked for this part. It was easy to find. And at $7 an absolute steal. It arrived within a week (with free shipping) and I installed it in about five minutes. It fits just as snugly as an OEM part and even comes with a spare fuse on the bottom. Just for the carving giggles, I checked how much an OEM would cost me before ordering this part through the Revain marketplace. From the Honda website the starter solenoid would cost ten times that! Yes. 70€ for the same part. Through my local mechanic? 100 dollars. Yeah, I think seven bucks beats that pretty easily. Even if it fails within a year, it will still be worth it. In any case, after the installation, my bike started like new. Didn't even have to step on the gas or gas. And that with a 20-year-old bike after two to three weeks of downtime. Since then I've ridden several times and each time it fires quickly and strongly. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. If I ever need a new one (hopefully not).
