AMD YES! Buy this laptop that outperforms its Intel counterpart and save $200.

*The device I received does not have a backlit keyboard. The Intel 1135G7 is fast and has decent battery life as everyone expected, so not much to say. Another Ryzen R3 4300U laptop I originally owned had driver issues for several months, constantly overclocking to battery instead of turbo, causing loads of lag and stuttering. However, the issue seems to have been fixed by updating the driver at the end of March, so I decided to try the more expensive R5 4500u HP Pavilion 15. I don't play laptops, so graphics aren't an issue for me. The laptop is very fast, thin and light, with a metal lid and palm rest. The IPS 1080P screen is good enough and the screen bezel is also very thin, meeting 2021 standards if not better than other laptop manufacturers. The speakers are loud and of good quality with B&O tuning. There is also a USB Type-C port that supports charging PDs via 65W GAN chargers or power banks. driver update. 8 GB of RAM is enough for everyday use and light Adobe work. PCI-E SSD is Intel, not other cheap alternatives like Lite-on. The only negatives I would point out about this laptop are the lack of a biometric fingerprint scanner on the palm rest and the dull blue color, which I don't like. Overall I would give this laptop 5/5 stars for its excellent value for money. Battery life is good thanks to TSMC's latest 7nm technology. The laptop is fast and works very cool. There's no need to shell out an extra $200 for an Intel 1135G7. I believe that in the near future no one will care whether they buy an Intel or AMD laptop as both have the same performance but AMD is likely to gain market share due to a much lower or reasonable price.
