I've put it to use, but I'm not happy with my purchase. It's true that I rely on touch in certain of my movements. Simply by purchasing a product from Xiaomi, I was anticipating more than I received from generic alternatives sold on a popular Chinese e-commerce platform. The Xiaomi version actually performed worse than the original. Expert help secured: The lamp has two brightness settings, high and dim. As soon as I turned it on, I switched to the energy-saving mode. (My no-name equivalents only have a bright setting, and the batteries had to be bought in batches and changed every few weeks). Makes it possible to tilt the light to practically any position. Overall physical presentation. When turned off throughout the day and on in the evening, it creates a dramatic effect. The room's aesthetics have not been compromised, at least. The range of the motion sensor is the main disadvantage. The lamp has a reliable "range of vision" of just three meters. This is ridiculously short, you'll need at least six meters. A cheap replica from a popular Chinese market (saw me from the next room) performed admirably in this aspect. — The light sensor's sensitivity. When there is no need for a night light, the gadget still activates. In other words, it's inefficient. We have one of these lights hanging in our kitchen. So: 1) We always leave the kitchen light on when we enter, even though it is well-lit by the light from the adjacent room at night. 2) However, when it's dark out, the lamp "waits" until we enter the next room (despite being in its direct line of sight via the arch between the rooms), and then it turns on only in the kitchen ( 3 meters from the lamp, after half the "dangerous" path has been passed).
