Edit * Product broke after 2 months, left ear seems faded. I spoke to the monster about the guarantee and they want the process to be sent to Holland at my expense. It lasts 6 weeks. I'm not worried but I will never pay that much for a monstrous product. Very expensive as it doesn't last long. Extremely disappointed as a first and last monster product. Service/Delivery The product arrived in 3 weeks, given the shipping to the UK I expected the product to take a long time to arrive but perhaps not nearly a month. On arrival I received a broken headphone. The sound disappeared, and sometimes there was no sound in the left ear. This problem happened intermittently, but I still had to return the item for £17.50 (about $24). Again, I wasn't happy but assumed I could get a refund, which I did. £3. lol i mean really? If I had known it was a refund I would have told Revane to keep it and buy me a coffee. .Laugh. As a first reaction and out of frustration I wanted to ask for a full refund. But then I thought it wasn't really Revains fault, how could they know the sealed product was defective. So I asked for an exchange. Package 2 was sent immediately and returned 2 weeks later. This time the product was well packaged and even after opening and trying the headphones everything seemed fine. Now I'm not an expert and I don't need fan reactions, below is a review of MY OWN OPINION on headphones. . You can agree or disagree, and that's fine, but that's my experience that I'd like to share with others. ** They are compatible with iPhone/iPad and if you use them with any Android device you will hear the audio as usual but lose some of the built-in remote control/mic functionality. (ONLY PLAY/PAUSE works for me on Samsung S3). But I ran the following tests on my iPod. Comfort/Build Quality These headphones come with a wide range of ear tips, so you'll need to sort through them all to find the right fit for your ears. This will make a huge difference in sound and comfort, so I'll stress that if any of these don't fit or sound good, replace them with the Sony hybrid earbuds, which are pretty decent. Although for me the wearing comfort with the standard earplugs was not amazing. Although they stay in my ears, they often get lost and sound different when I move my head to one side or the other. Only after some fiddling did I get the sound to stay constant at the level I was hearing. But don't let that put you off as not all ears are the same size or shape so they may be more comfortable on your ears than mine. The general build quality is very good. They don't seem to break easily. However, the Turbine Pearl model comes with a built-in remote control that feels very flimsy. If you're the type to scatter your headphones, you may break your mic/remote faster than others. In addition, the cables do not get tangled; You often find them confusing, but not as bad as regular cheap headphones. However, "tangle-free" isn't the best way to describe her, so be careful. I'd also like to add that if you're the kind of person who keeps headphones plugged into your device, these aren't for you. The reason I say this is that even the slightest push on the mic will turn your music player on. So if they are in your pocket, bag or on the table and the headphones are plugged into the headphone jack, the device will automatically turn on and drain the battery. Therefore, I advise you to unplug your headphones from your iPod when not in use. COMFORT: 7/10. BUILD: 6/10 (due to one bad pair). SOUND. The bass goes very deep and drops can be heard on RnB and Dubstep tracks. It can be punchy and the bass is well developed to the point of being very clear and not distorted even at high volumes. I was very impressed with the level of bass in these headphones like if you use slightly cheaper headphones like standard earpads then you will definitely like them. However, if you've had higher quality headphones, you might not be impressed. I won't say you will be disappointed, but you definitely expect more, especially if you own the Beats by Dre line of products. The sound quality mainly depends on the quality of your audio collection. If you've ripped junk quality MP3s from YouTube, you won't be very impressed. They don't improve the sound, quite the opposite, since the sound is very detailed and therefore poor quality songs are immediately noticeable. If you have songs in lossless or 192-320kbps quality, these headphones will sound amazing in terms of bass. Vocals fade into the background with these headphones. The bass doesn't spill over into the mids or highs, but the mids (vocals) could be better. Female voices sound good but seem muffled compared to high-end IEMS like Turbine Coppers or Ultimate Ears. This is by no means a deal breaker as they are more aimed at those who are throwing away their cheap headphones in favor of something better and these headphones perform brilliantly in that regard. The highs are pretty good too, and you can hear the tweeters very clearly on songs that make good use of such instruments. The sound is well separated and you can hear low, mid and high frequencies very clearly without having to adjust the EQ. However, I would recommend going through the EQ to find the sound that suits you best. Overall, the sound quality is very impressive, although not the best. I will continue to listen to them and recorded them with pink noise as recommended and also played them at high volume. These headphones can get very loud and the sound quality can be amazing, but again it depends on the quality of the track you're listening to or your equalizer settings. I personally prefer my Sound Magic E10 as I bought them for £30 and for the price they seem to beat a lot of mid-range and high-end headphones out of the water. I mean the sound quality is so good I can't stop listening to it. That's the main reason I'm a bit disappointed with Turbines. For the price I paid I expected more although the quality is very good but compared to £30 headphones like the Sound Magic they should have been better. I paid £88 which is about $109. I would say these headphones are worth it if you pay around $80-$90. For UK users I would say they cost around £60-70 and if you can get them for that price don't hesitate as overall these are very good headphones. My own minor issues relate to the price I paid for it, but the sound quality could have been better. Maybe I prefer these headphones which have improved sound signature as for the money I can enjoy my favorite songs like RnB, Hip-Hop, Dubstep. But that doesn't mean I don't like good sound. Overall, don't judge these headphones from the moment you open the box. They don't have to be awesome from the moment you start hearing them. Headphones of this type require a burn through, so you have to play music for hours before the sound changes. But when the sound changes, you will see the difference, how night differs from day. This will completely change your experience. SOUND: 7/10 Overall rating including my experience would be 7/10 To summarize + Sound quality is solid and the bass can be very low to the point of shaking your eardrums with no distortion. Mids and highs are very crisp and clear and you can hear everything you've been missing in junk headphones. Well packaged and comes with foam and super ear tips as well as regular ear tips. Well constructed in terms of both cable connector and cable length, Revain shipped a replacement straight away with no questions asked. Quality Headphones are a bit heavier than other in-ears due to the metal body Cables can get tangled at times which can be annoying Weak remote control and voice quality should have been a bit better than the Sound Magic E 10 considering I paid £88 for it have paid . They may sound dull or muddy at first, but they need to be burned out (at least 100 hours). This will drastically change the sound quality, but the waiting time for recording will be long. The first set was defective: the left earpiece didn't work properly, or the sound seemed to drop out. This can be a problem when you're paying a lot for quality. *** One star deducted because I paid £17.50 to return defective headphones and only got a £3.00 refund. Got half a star for overall latency when using these headphones. Headphones because after 3 weeks of waiting I received a faulty pair! Deducting half a star as expected, they're a lot better than the E10's tonal magic, but they're only marginally better in terms of mids (vocals) and volume.
