I took this buckle for a test ride and then had to quickly unbuckle it for a field trip (if you get my meaning). I press the trigger and nothing happens. I don't know if mine is defective or not, but when you put pressure on the strap it doesn't come loose. I ended up having to release pressure on the buckle to release it. Try this if you need to let go of it quickly.
