What happened to OXO's reputation for quality and customer support?

I wore this product for about a month. When cleaning the cable I noticed that it was loose. The thumb grip could not be pulled. I noticed a click as I tried to tighten it. I requested OXO customer service and waited 48 hours for a response as suggested on the website. No answer so I'm guessing they closed their doors due to CV-19 or other reasons.
