I've cut the cable quite a few times lately when I left my IP phone company due to poor service and inflated prices. Like the building I've lived in for over 150 years, the historic shoe factory was transformed into 101 apartments when the building's owners teamed up with new IP fiber at 10x the speed and half the price. I also subscribed to Vonage's VoIP service and found that the WiFi in my bedroom was slow due to the 18" brick walls and use of steel joists, and I have an RJ12 phone and RJ45 Cat 6 Hooked up wires to a wall that was attached to a wooden beam and down the opposite wall and got permission to run the wires through the wall into my bedroom and now I have 100% coverage with no dead spots as I have one too Installed repeaters in my bedroom. This made it easier to install and hide the wires.
