Heat affects hinges
During the summer months when the cabin gets hot, the sides open slightly when the visor is down. I don't know how this will play out long term, but for now it's working. It stays closed again when it cools down. I'm thinking of making a stub for it. I was hoping the black part would be matte, but that's not that important. I'm on the fence I like the position aspect of the mirrors, but I'm not a fan of the heat issue.
