I don't often write reviews but I was so impressed with the NuTech Pro VR1 that I have to let you know. Received it as an early Father's Day gift and used it for my first round a day later. First of all, the device came with a case, a charging cable, a small instruction manual and a lens cleaning cloth. The device was almost fully charged as it only took about 10 minutes to charge before the charge indicator light came on. I definitely like not having to worry about changing the battery. There is a low battery feature that kicks in at around 25% power left, which is more than enough for a full lap. So I don't have to worry about it being sold out. Many golf carts now also have USB charging ports, so charging while playing is an option. The rangefinder has a nice, rubbery, sticky feel that works well on a warm, humid day. My playmate had a top-notch Bushnell and my measurements almost always matched his +/- yard. He knew it was my first time using a range finder, so he gave me instructions on how to put my hand on the side of the car to avoid nervous looks. I said that with the pin swing enabled, all I had to do was align myself on the pin and swipe from side to side to get a tactile buzz indicating I was pinned on the pin. That was not the case in his department. I also had the incline function enabled and it calculated incline distance accurately (I checked with a trigger). His Bushnell didn't have it either. The VR1 also has an eyepiece adjustment so I can measure with or without glasses. Amazingly clear image with 6x magnification even without glasses. The bag has an outside pocket for the charging cable and a wrist strap. The bag can be worn on a belt but I attached it to my bag with a carabiner which worked great (I didn't want to accidentally leave it in the shopping cart so the bag attachment worked great). satisfied after a day's possession. For 1/3 of my buddy's Bushnell price, I'm doubly satisfied. I plan on using it until I get a low battery warning to see how many rounds I can get before needing a charge. If anything changes I will update. Update almost a year later: Still very happy with the range finder. The battery seems to last 10-15 rounds depending on use, although I still have to wait for the low battery indicator to come on, so it can last for months on a single charge. I keep it in a case when not shooting a needle so it's well protected. I played in the rain a few times and didn't notice any change in accuracy or performance. The case kept him pretty dry.
