The positives first I love that KEiiD reuses the VW radio in this product and I believe the player and radio are better and more durable than you. d otherwise get for this price. The device is well organized and looks good. It arrived here in Minnesota a week later despite inclement weather. And it does a lot of things, radio, bluetooth, CDs etc. And I don't mind that this device is quite heavy and big so not particularly convenient to carry around. But I'd be happy to pay 100€ more for better speakers. The bass is pretty weak out of the box. While it can be adjusted, it doesn't take long before things get muddy and the highs aren't clean enough either. When I crank it up a bit (I wouldn't push too hard, it might turn off the speaker completely) there is a very slight hum coming from the unit which I expect to make worse. So the sound is okay, nothing more. For the money this is about what you would expect. I was hoping for the best based on the rave reviews. Not sure which brand is better at this price point, our old $100 Sony boombox is almost as good. If that's all you can afford, then you're fine. But if you really love music, you need to go one step further, in my subjective opinion. My advice to KeiiD is to build a Mark II model with better speakers and let the consumer choose between them.
