(Updated 29 September 2019 for 1 person tent. Review of 2 person tent below). it's too much space for one person. I had to wait almost a year for 1p to become available but I'm glad I have it now! This tent is almost PERFECT. It's the perfect size, beautifully finished and makes me happy every time I look at it. I bought another single tent but it was a bit short and narrow. This tent gives me enough space on each side and is long enough to fit my 65L backpack over my head and still have room to sleep. It is beautifully furnished. The entry zip works great and never gets stuck, the rain cover is well ventilated when adjusted correctly. It will be installed as soon as possible. Corner pockets are greatly appreciated. And it was very clever to make a small zippered hole on the non-entry side to access things like your boots that you might want to hide under the rain cover on the non-entry side. love love love! If I could only wish for one thing, it would be a zip on the non-entry side of the raincover so it can be opened and rolled up like the entry side, and possibly a full entry on both sides. But even in this form, it's as perfect as I could have hoped. PS Look how I woke up at the end of the trail on my first day without a raincoat after a comfortable, bug-free sleep. :)======= 2p review from earlier ========== I love this tent. I liked him when I first installed him but waited until he went out into the field to write this. First, it's very easy to set up, even for one person. Simply lay out the trail and tent, extend the poles and insert the ends into the holes at the corners of the trail and tent. No need to put the poles through anything as the tent simply attaches to the poles! Simply insert the other end of the pole into the grommet in the opposite corner, then attach a clamp or two and the tent takes shape. Work in a circle and secure the remaining brackets and viola! Instant tent. The rain fly is guided from above and simply tied to the poles from below. Seriously, this tent easily sets up in less than 5 minutes. Floor-to-ceiling mesh is great, IMO. Sure, there's no privacy without a raincoat, but you can lie in a tent and almost feel like you're outside with no bugs. I especially appreciated this on my first trip as it was hot, there were no neighbors and the bed bugs were awful. It wasn't raining, so I fell asleep in the moonlight and woke up to the trees swaying in the breeze above me. The interior of the tent is spacious. I'm just shy at 6ft and there was plenty of headroom and legroom. It would be spacious even for two. The mesh pockets are very useful. The zippers work great and don't keep getting stuck in the flaps like every other tent I've seen. If you have a raincoat, it's very easy to detach the tabs from the steaks, just roll them up and fasten them with thoughtful ties. The only caveat: it all looks a bit filigree. It feels like the entire mesh construction could fail with abuse. But if I take my time and pay attention to carefully backing things up, I believe it will take a long time. I had an issue with a tear in one of the zip ties on the rain cover. Be sure to insert the pins before attaching the tie to avoid overstressing the seam. Hyke and Byke customer service provided a warranty replacement within days. I think the gap was just an accident since everything else is in the shape of a ship. And the excellent customer service more than made up for this small issue. anything to say Treat it like some lightweight camping gear rather than a military puppy tent and you'll be fine. - Net, lining, etc. negligible. I know, both weighed.)
