I bought a silver scarf and the mesh base of the scarf is very noticeable when worn over a darker dress. This would be fine on a gray or silver dress. I wish I had gotten one with a black scarf and silver sequins because I was wearing it over a dark dress and it didn't feel quite right. But it added the shine I was looking for which was the highlight. It's obviously inexpensive - no one will think you've spent a lot on it. But enough for the price.
