The light in the hallway was too bright and didn't match the existing amber tone. So I looked for ways to soften the bright light without buying the whole device. So I bought the foil, cut out 2 pieces the size of the light disk and glued them into the light cover. The results were amazing. Now it is amber, like the existing light!
