I use it to record my voice in slideshow recordings on a laptop with Windows 10. The device was recognized and worked fine. Sound quality is great, but it picks up ambient noise (not as bad as a laptop's built-in microphone, which is terrible for fans, keyboard noise, touchpad noise, and echoes). I need to build a small acoustic booth to remove reflections from my office walls or apply acoustic foam to vertical surfaces. However, my first recordings were checked by a professional in my company and highly praised: he could easily handle a small amount of background noise. I don't like that the pop screen's flexible arm can't be easily removed, it gets in the way. I use a foam windshield so the pop up glass seems excessive to me. I'll see what I can do to completely remove the pop up screen mount. I'm not worried about voiding my warranty, but you could. in front of the tripod, not behind it (just grab the mic and turn it around, no need to remove it from the mount). This keeps the tripod a little further back, the mic a little closer, but pushes the flex arm forward so it gets in the way. After a few days of use, I began to understand why some people buy microphones. on swivel arms, the tripod constantly takes up space on the table.
