This is what I wanted when I was looking for a way to swap headphones between two laptops running high quality audio editing and sequencing software. I actually bought two different cables, the other one arrived a day early and I was frustrated because I didn't think to order a 1/8" (3.5mm) audio cable. I had one, but needed the other to plug into the output jacks of both MacBooks in the box, with my headphones facing the front. The first box was relatively sleek, minimalist, and had two small buttons at the top labeled 1 and 2. It's also very light, being made of plastic, but it seemed to get the job done. But THAT came today. The first thing I noticed upon opening it was the high quality braided audio jack cable. The next thing I noticed was the box itself. It's about half the size of an already fairly small (for me) sliver, but is made entirely of durable matte black metal. It's got great solid looks and weight, and there are two small knobs on the top of the box, one on each side of the raised black aluminum volume knob. One button lets you toggle between inputs, while the other mutes all channels. It's just a really good combination of form and function. Worth every penny for the very reasonable price!
