I've been eating old recipes for these bars for years. It took me a long time to find such a great bar - great taste, high protein, low sugar, no dairy etc. I ordered my monthly boxes and they were rotated. Now they should be called crunch bars — almonds or whatever, so big they taste like crunchy rice treats and give the bars an odd texture. The chocolate is less "packaged" and now has a "crunchy" aspect. There's also an extra 20 calories, which while a minor change, still doesn't appear on the site. Time to maximize ingredient performance - whatever that means. While the new formula isn't exactly the worst thing in the world, the lack of publicity about the changes and the fact that they didn't materialize as expected came as a shock. Next month I'll be looking again for a good new chocolate protein bar.
