This shower head set is much better than the others. I bought the same cheaper device for about twenty five dollars. It had over 10,000 reviews and 4.5 stars. When I received it, it was very light and made entirely of plastic. Most are there, but the problem was that the hardware connecting the heads and the diverter just didn't survive the installation. I returned it and got a well known brand for the price of this unit I am considering. This unit was exactly the same as the $25 unit I returned: all plastic, including the hardware. Plastic fittings don't go well with the metal shower pipes you attach them to. I sent it back and was hesitant to take this one only because of the price with few reviews. But I dared because brass fittings were advertised there. Too bad I didn't get this machine the first time! Hard chromed brass diverter and all other connections are also made of metal. No leaks, nothing breaks during installation because the plastic nut does not withstand the metal shower rail. The change knob is very smooth when you turn the dial. The detachable head holder is all metal, durable and functional. It stays where you send it. The finish is very smooth and flawless. Like almost all shower heads, the shower head itself is made of plastic. However, it's very durable plastic, doesn't feel cheap, and the chrome finish is even better than the Delta unit, which looked cheap and you could see wavy distortion in the reflection. If you are thinking about buying a shower head with a detachable shower head, then this is it. Save yourself time and hassle and buy this. Yes, and the hose is metal and quite long. Finally, I would like to thank the company and its customer service team. I had a problem with my hose, the fault of the carrier, not the manufacturer. I contacted the manufacturer and they were just nice and helpful and they fixed me. The only thing better than a great product is the great people behind the great product. You just don't see that very often anymore. Take my word for it and choose a company that cares and works hard to ensure you receive a quality product and are satisfied. Sorry for such a long review but I was really impressed and wish every shopping experience was that wonderful.
