Stays white and prevents cover confusion.
Bought house with stove that doesn't quite fit in the stove cutout. I always had to clean up stuff that fell between the cupboards and the stove (sometimes very dirty). I was very happy with this little space. My kids can still be careless when they use the stove and make a mess, but now I don't have a mess to find later since the mess stays upstairs where it can be seen and YOU have no excuse to mess it up clean up now. It appears to be stain resistant as tomato sauce and BBQ sauce have been spilled on it and when rubbed off the silicone was as white as if I had taken it out of the box. I use this on an electric glass range/oven.
