When I opened up this package, I immediately checked my Walmart orders to see if I had mistakenly ordered children's socks, as they hardly seemed big enough for an adult. Of course it is well known that sock manufacturers are under the delusion that all feet are the same size, which obviously they are not. However, this is not my first sock-wrangling rodeo, so I was ready for them, and took my first pair of socks and immersed them in rather hot water, wrung them out, and stretched them over a couple of kitchen storage jars and put them in the sun to dry (see picture). And they fitted pretty good and were extremely warm and comfortable as a chill wind was coming in the from the mountains. For the current offer price, these socks are a pretty darn good deal, and I might buy some more while stocks last. Remember, buy wintery things as the summer is coming in, and vice-versa, and you won't go too far wrong.(If you use this sock stretching method, be sure to make sure that they are completely dry before removing them from the stretcher, so that they don't shrink back.)
