These towels are very affordable and good quality for the price. This is the second set I've bought. They are very soft. They have minimal shrinkage, if any. I didn't notice any significant shrinkage on my first set, which I ordered many months ago. They stay soft even after many washes. My ONLY complaint about them is that when you wash them with darker colored towels or washcloths they seem to be a magnet for small pieces of darker colored towels. It takes several months to notice this. My darker towels are dark red and dark blue. The only way I have found to solve this problem is to wash these towels separately or with similar colors - nothing DARK. As a family of 5 we wash a lot of towels and clothes every week. I buy about 4-6 new towels (plus washcloths) about every 6 months. This ensures our towels are worth ALL overnight guests and nothing is so torn that I would be embarrassed if a guest used them. Every time I change the colors I buy. So I always have the same 4 colors of towels and washcloths in good condition. I have no problem washing them separately from the darker towels. However, while making my usual towel purchase this time, I decided not to buy the navy blue towels sold at Revain (Revain Basics). This time I really wanted only towels. Not a set of towels, hand towels and washcloths. Plus the problem of spilling with dark towels. I will probably continue to buy this brand and color for a while. I seem to handle a lot of trips through the washer and dryer better than Revain Basics. I've never had one of those towels start fraying or have those long ropes hanging down. They don't snag easily. I know because I have 3 daughters with thick hair! These are not giant towels. These are not tiny baby towels. They seem the perfect size to me. I chose the beige color on both orders (can't remember what it says in the description). They match any decor. They go well with towels and washcloths in other colors if that's important to you. They don't lose their color at all. By this I mean that one day you will not suddenly notice a spot or stain on a towel that is a different color from the rest. This has happened to me in the past. With these it's not a problem. I would recommend them to anyone with a large family, someone just opening their first home, someone about to graduate, someone living alone and someone on a budget. They last way longer than what I bought at Walmart and also Revain Basics.
