Review on πŸ”Œ Uogic Keyboard Cover for Microsoft Surface Pro: Seamless Design - Slim, Lightweight, Screen Protection + Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard - Stain-Resistant, Smooth Touch Coating by Travis Rio

Finally a good Bluetooth keyboard for my Surface Pro

Over the past few years I've had about 10 different keyboards for my Surface Pro (I've owned almost every Surface Pro since version 1) and EVERY aftermarket product. The one I tried was rubbish (and I feel sorry for Uogic which includes an earlier version of this keyboard). To be honest, it pisses me off how much Microsoft is charging for a standard Bluetooth keyboard. 130-170 dollars? without Bluetooth? Why Microsoft, why? Uogic finally got the basics right. I'm just typing and saying it, it's a solid keyboard. It's not perfect, there are small things that could be improved, like the occasional freezing and too much typing on the same key (sleep disabled?), and the scrolling direction is the opposite of the original Surface keyboard. But these are small things for a good Bluetooth backlit keyboard for SIGNIFICANTLY less than the Surface version. Palm deflection has been greatly improved over the last model. The downside is that you can't type and use the trackpad at the same time. You can use Sticky Keys (a Windows accessibility feature) to compensate for this. You can use the keyboard and touch screen or pen at the same time. Here's the thing, if you have a keyboard that does NOT turn off the trackpad while you're typing, it means you're accidentally constantly moving your cursor across the screen. Swipe gestures of the latest model. DO NOT BUY A CLONE. As far as I know, this is the ONLY program that doesn't have this feature. Ugghhh hated it. Love this one it's totally worth the money finally a decent option.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Protection
