I bought this fan for my office which gets very hot during the day. I was sweating on my ears while talking with the headset. This little fan really helps me coo and stop sweating. I placed it on my desk about 2 feet away from me. Here's my test to see how much it cools down the temperature around me. I moved the thermometer about a foot away from the fan. I just added room temperature water to the tank. Before I turned on the fan, the thermometer read 82.1 F. Very hot. Then I turned on the fan at the lowest speed, the thermometer reading dropped to 77.8 F. The higher and highest fan speeds couldn't lower the reading as much, by about 0.1 F each, but the airflows were higher. I also have a large tower fan in the room and it can only go down to 80.2F, but I can't stand the noise of the tower fan. This fan is very quiet even at maximum speed. In fact, I prefer the highest speed because at the other two speeds I hear a slight rumble from the motor. But at maximum speed, this noise disappears. The water tank is transparent so you can easily see how much water is left. The console is convenient. The fan also has an LED light in the grille that can switch between 7 different colors by pressing a button on top or on the remote control. The fog function is strong, I can see a stream of fog about 3ft long in the air. Humanity can easily increase by 10%. In general, I like a small powerful air cooler.
