Not bad for this money.

After looking at the reviews I decided to risk $20. A few things people should know from other reviews. The microphone is a little quiet, especially when using both the foam head and the pop screen. You have to be close enough to the microphone. The pop screen doesn't bother me. Using a foam head is enough to soften the pops. Alternatively, you could use a pop filter and remove the foam head, but since it's a condenser mic it *can* pick up ambient noise. This is how condenser microphones work. They are direction independent. This is a feature, not a bug. Foam pad reduces ambient noise. Although it's omnidirectional, the mic technically has a "front face". The logo should face you for better voice transmission. If you need a directional microphone, buy a directional microphone. It's also not a dynamic mic. If you need a dynamic microphone, spend more money. Don't buy this expecting it to be professional grade studio audio gear. This is a consumer grade USB microphone.2. The desk clamp isn't the best, but it's metal, not plastic, so won't break. The bottom screw portion of the clamp is next to the "C" body. That's probably why so many people struggle. If the bottom of your desk or desk is sloping, the c-clip is not deep enough as the clamping pressure is close to the edge of the bottom edge of the furniture. The problem I had was the self-adhesive rubber pad slipping off, but that's not a major factor. I can work with him for $20. (There are also slightly better $10 replacement clamps here at Revain if needed https://amzn.to/39sQHmr). The microphone arm is not one of those that you can constantly and easily move like a DJ in a pro. sound booth. If you keep trying to reposition the mic, there's a chance the clip will slip off. That too is $20. If you want a more flexible arm that you want to move while shooting, buy something more expensive. Barbells alone can cost $50. If you want to adjust the position of the microphone but don't want to move it while recording, this will do. Someone else complained about the cable management, which is ridiculous. The microphone comes with 3 Velcro strips to fix the USB cable along the shaft. This is not a problem. Since the mic needs to be a little close to your mouth when playing, it might be a little awkward to place. Most likely it will hang above your keyboard. Your mileage may vary. You may be able to position it at an angle to your face. To get the best sound, you need to make some adjustments. If you want a studio quality mic, spend the money. but for $20 it's enough for basic podcasting or streaming. Again. It's only $20. I'm just afraid of longevity. I will come back and edit my review if I run into any issues over time.
