We received this item earlier than expected. It's easier to have two people to hold and screw it down. The buttons only require a gentle touch to get the power supply/fan working. No odors from cooking with the fan on throughout the house. (If you forget to turn on the fan while frying the onions/fish and garlic for 30 minutes, there will be a smell in the hallway/living room. But once the fan starts, the smell will go away.) So far we are very happy with it. It's powerful, loud but not annoying. The sound is pleasant. Has multiple settings for light with brighter option. What won us over about this product is the company's 2-year warranty. I'm waiting for a car wash.
