This mat was purchased for obvious reasons to prevent slips and falls in the shower. I was more worried about my bathroom floor not having proper support and decided to buy this rug because I was concerned about safety. Although I followed the installation instructions carefully, this rug failed the first time I showered on it. . The carpet pulled away from the surface and for the first time in my current soul in 14 years, I slipped and fell. Luckily I survived the fall without impact. This rug is indeed a safety hazard and I will be returning it. I strongly recommend everyone to return theirs as well, even if they work for you. And if you are considering buying this item, by all means ignore the good reviews and don't buy this product. I've always believed that Moen makes quality products but they should stick to what they do best, especially faucets.
