Excellent quality Duosida electric car charger

As mentioned in another review by Mr Connor this is a Duosida charger. I think it's a great unit. I installed an electric car charger at my daughter's house that cost over five hundred dollars. But my switchboard was clogged, there was no way to stretch the 240th line into my garage. My tumble dryer is also too far away to run the cord into my garage. So after watching a few videos on how to combine two 120 circuits to get 240, I built my own 240 jack as shown. But I didn't want to spend another $500 on a home charger without knowing for sure it would work. I bought this device from Primecom/Revain for $229 and everything worked fine. Last night it charged my electric car much faster than my factory 120 I was using. And this block clearly started to have problems? The cable from the socket became very hot during the charging process. The metal bracket that Primecom has attached to this device is also very good. I can't tell how much faster this device charged my car, I don't know how to calculate it, but it was faster. Would you guess at least three times faster? (You should only charge your EV to 80% if possible so your batteries will last much longer, at least that's what I've read). I read some reviews where other chargers were difficult to attach or remove from the car. This block is very smooth to attach and remove. I would say it's easier than my factory block. I wrote this review because I am very impressed with this charger.
