Too bright and noisy

I chose this clock radio model because it had the features I needed and had a four step dimmer. Other models I looked at only had two levels and were too bright. Unfortunately, the lowest of the dimmer levels is at least twice as bright as I would like. If I wanted a night light or wanted to read the clock from across the room that would be fine. Anyway, one question. Then the volume of the radio at the lowest level is about twice as high as desired. The old clock radios died after 35 years. It had an adjustable dimmer and volume (sound) control. Apparently nobody else has them. Sometimes I have to wake up without waking my wife and the light is too bright to sleep. I haven't seen a single review mentioning these two issues. So . I think I should be unique. Otherwise everything is fine in terms of sound, everything is fine with one speaker and presets. Oh yeah. another problem. I live in Arizona where there is no Daylight Saving Time. The day and time are automatically set to Eastern Time. In other areas, you must manually set a different time zone, and most mountain time zones use Daylight Saving Time. So I have to use the western setting and change it twice a year. For me, the view convinces with the advantages of the automatic system. Not worth returning as I haven't seen or missed anything that meets all my needs. The main purpose of the review is to help those who may have similar needs and possibly developers who will be bug fixing in the future. something else needs to be added. Most of the buttons are flush with the top of the radio, making it difficult to hit the right button when setting the alarm in the dark, for example.
