Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ HATCHBOX Dimensionally Accurate Printer Filament: Superior Additive Manufacturing Products and 3D Printing Supplies by Rich Schobinger

Get it for the looks, but don't expect performance. PLA

An interesting thing, it has a rough appearance and a matte finish. It's more brittle than regular PLA and layer-to-layer adhesion is a bit poor at 215C (increased to 220C). It also doesn't contain that much detail. I printed this as part of my lighted cube lamp and the top and bottom have a friction fit, the prongs on the bottom cannot be used with this material as they will break when trying on. And one of the parts I printed on 215 sheared off on a friction fit with the standard Pla base. Raising the temperature to 220 has helped the layers adhere so far, but I think I'll classify this material as a design with no specific mechanical limitations.

Pros
  • HIGH QUALITY 3D PRINT: No clogs, bubbles or tangles! HATCHBOX PLA is designed to offer minimal warping and virtually no odor without the use of a heating layer; The PLA is sealed with a desiccant to prevent moisture absorption and allow for fine detail
Cons
  • I don't remember
