This is our second copy of the same model. We liked the first one so much that we took the second one for the second workroom. Many chairs have seats that are too small for big asses. It has a nice sized seat. I appreciate the larger diameter and larger, more stable base. I probably would have preferred the seat not being so thick, but the square edge is good for reducing rollover. Over time, the center of the pillow will likely become more comfortable as it becomes more concave. Actually, it's best for stools to have a concave seat pan for safety, like many old wooden stools do, but I don't see that feature in stools today, which is a shame. The convex shape found on some upholstered chairs, but not this one, is actually dangerous as the chair can tip over if the base isn't wide enough. At least on this one, it's a square edge. When this stool set is at its lowest height it sits a little high for short table legs with another set of floor casters that we bought separately. For a higher setup, for a rack/low bar height, a leg rest resting on top of the base with legs would have added extra stability and a more comfortable foot rest than a leg plate, but this stool doesn't have that. This stool is heavier and more stable than most. It could probably be worth £300. The weak point is probably the wider seat, under which there is space for a large base plate. Finally, the vinyl cover is glued to the bottom, not too elegant, with edges not as smooth as we would like. I can add something to hide the border. Those who craft this may be more careful to reduce the risk of an open stall cutting someone by holding them from below. The staples were not exposed when I received this but I can see the open end of the staple can appear over time.
