Bought at a price. The model above (WX200) differs only in the best zoom range of the lens. My main use will be for video. It captures Full HD 1920x1080i 60 video, which I convert to 1020x1080p 30 with a manual interrupt program that I can use in my pitivi video editor running on Fedora Linux. It is possible to include lower resolution 1080p or 720p video in MPEG4 files, but I prefer to use the highest resolution. I am very happy with the video at all resolution settings. The optical image stabilization works well. Battery life is excellent considering the size of the battery. Not surprising, but the buttons are tiny for a person with big hands. Now for the cons. The manual that came with the camera is in the news and is terrible. Go online and google the DX80 Users Guild to find something really useful. No charger is included, just a USB cable to transfer data directly to a Mac or PC and charge the battery. For some reason I have an old Sony charger that works with this battery. What I don't like the most is that you need a PC or Mac running Sony software to transfer video data from the SD card to the computer. It seems to work fine once set up. When I put an SD card in a card reader or connect the camera via USB, it automatically downloads my data and puts it in my photo folder. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me on Linux. The camera has a micro HDMI output, but the cable is not included. I ordered a pair of micro HDMI to HDMI adapters from Amazon for less than $1 each and am waiting for them to arrive from Hong Kong. . An excellent camera for a beginner vlogger or for those who want to significantly improve the quality of their portable phone.
