This toy is sturdy, compact and simple. It has just enough girth to feel solid, but still feels compact. The carrots circle the outer circle in a rainbow pattern, enhancing the color sequence and aiding in size comparison and flight perception. I like that the tops of the carrots are soft and hide the color of the carrots when you look straight down. This allows for some surprises and you can play "not like that" with this toy. You can put a carrot in the hole if it fits - there's only one way they all fit, but that makes it a puzzle.
