I was excited about this product, it looked ok at first glance but I turned the spool over and you can see the imperfections in the waterproof coating. As I unrolled the strip, I noticed that each solder (18") has a ridge so it doesn't lay flat and stick to those spots. There is a spot where a trace sticks out between the strip and the LED substrate .There is at least one cold solder joint (I'll try to post a photo) When I finally found a spot where the plating flaw showed, it stuck to the back of the overlying layer and even ripped a piece of the plating off off the LEDs. There just weren't any other places. It looks like it was rolled up while the cover was still wet/hot. I'll request, exchange and upgrade when I get a new roll. I'll replace the strip don't even test it in case there's a short somewhere.Without jeopardizing your power supply.
