I don't understand how people write negative reviews? The knife is plastic for safety reasons and if it is properly torn apart (ie not touched with the hand) then it works perfectly. And if you apply it correctly to a plate, it sticks perfectly. Also, it doesn't melt in the microwave like cling film does. I took off a star because it sometimes leaves a sticky residue on some plates (depending on what your plate is made of) after you've heated it.
