Bought this to tidy up my watch strap. The strap is handcrafted from high quality leather, but the finish was drier and more "ashy" than I liked, plus I wanted to make the strap a little darker. . It really hydrated the skin and gave it a deeper, richer look with a very subtle glow. The skin was already elastic, but the product further enhanced this property. It's important to note that it darkened the skin significantly, maybe 2 tones (at first the ribbon was dark brown, but it ended up becoming as dark as a soccer ball). That was my intention, but if you don't want to change the hue of your leather gear, you might want to test it on an inconspicuous area first.
