SUNSUN DOES NOT PRODUCE UV-RESISTANT PLASTIC HOUSINGS FOR ITS UV SYSTEMS! NOT SAFE FOR A HOBBY!
Bulbs work as advertised but only last about 6 months with sufficient power. However, SUNSUN's plastic cases are made very cheaply from unstable plastic that is not UV resistant. This means that the UV light emitted by these lamps will break down plastic within 1 month and release toxic plastic resins into your aquarium or pond; very bad design. Thousands of misled customers; and is harmful to any aquarium or pond enthusiast. Until China-based SUNSUN decides to spend extra money to develop its UV lamps made of UV-resistant polymer-filled plastic, they will continue to sell inferior and harmful products to the world.
