I've been using Wahl clippers for my home haircut for a long time and the clippers are the ones that break or fail. Some of the more fragile plastic combs are broken and some of the stronger plastic combs are loose. This set is made of very flexible, strong and durable plastic that is not easy to break and fits very snugly to the body. At first I wasn't sure it would fit, but you have to push the tongue back a little firmly and it snaps in with a very snug fit that doesn't rattle or dangle at all. They are color coded and match equally well. It reaches an inch in length. I have a #1.5 (4.5mm) comb in my old set which is an old spare but the regular numbered combs in this set jump from #1 (3mm) to #2 (6mm ). So a little less on the short hair spectrum. I also wish it had blending combs as these take the most abuse and break quickly. But the set is superb, well made and fits perfectly.
