This is a pretty loud alarm clock. Nothing too crazy. Around town it's more for shocking thieves than for you to hear and needs to be used with alternative pressure sensitive signals as it doesn't stop someone from just picking up the bike and putting it in the truck but for a regular one Average the thief who just wants to ride the bike far, that helps. No fuss, simple instructions and an orange cable really help you not try to ride away with the cable. It came with free shipping in one day and thankfully it arrived early in the morning because I needed it right away. It comes with the battery already installed and an extra kit in case it dies. The battery pack is a plastic holder that holds six small round AG 13 batteries. Overall a great addition and extra protection for around town or when you need to lock your child's bike up until they do their homework.
