Mercer Culinary Millennia, 9-Inch Offset, Wavy Edge, Bread Knife is the knife which I reach for more often. I had no idea when I ordered this knife to completely fill my JA Henckels knife block set; that in some cases I will reach for it first. Although it is not intended or constructed, this 1- opening or slicing pound sausage rolls; I've found that I can easily cut the tube into lots of thin slices of sausage ready for the pan. By the way, did I mention it cuts the softest bread cleanly without kneading it, like other knives do Yes, I would happily recommend, YES, would buy again, and YES, that would make a great gift too!
