Review on HP Ultra Slim Dock 2013 Docking Station: Streamline Your Setup with D9Y32AA#ABA by Chad Judex

Do not buy this model if you have 2 external monitors! Not sure if there is only one external monitor. We bought three of these docking stations for our office, and after several months of normal operation, the two external monitors began randomly dimming and flickering for each configuration. This happens several times a day and is a huge frustration in the office. We tried a daisy chain setup as well as separate cables to connect each external monitor directly to the docking station. Each of our three setups has a different brand of monitors, so we found that the monitors weren't a problem. We've also found that the laptop and external monitors work correctly with a completely different docking station (non-HP brand). I have read many HP forums and also spoken to our IT company and found that the problem is mostly related to the docking station. Apparently this model is no longer supported, so there are no updated drivers or firmware to download? Not sure but very disappointed with this product. We had such high hopes and expectations that they were simply disappointed. Do yourself a favor and find another docking station. Much luck!
