Long story: Short version = works great for an old and dirty BMW. In short: my 11-year-old, 70-pound dog became ill. He vomited three times indoors and several times outside. I used a pet we had in the house to clean up the vomit on the dark carpet. Worked great, no stains. The vet gave him an injection for nausea, soft dog food for nausea and prescribed Peptobismol. The dog seemed better and was able to keep food and water the next day. The next day I went to work at 6 p.m. Everything was fine at home, except that the dog had to go out more often than anywhere else. When I came home after 6 hours, I felt an unpleasant odor. I've searched (almost) everywhere and found nothing. I blamed the stench on my vomiting and lack of smell when I was home. I sprayed the vomit with a good smell but it didn't work so the next day we went looking for something to get the smell off the carpet. Came home and the stench hit us at the door. I put on a new smell, good stuff and hoped. We are planning to put our house up for sale in a few weeks and we can't have a smelly house! A few hours later I went upstairs to get something. My kids have grown up and nobody goes upstairs including the dog who NEVER goes upstairs except this time. Here it is, puddles of dirty, liquid, sodden feces and a source of stench on a beige carpet. It was beyond disgusting. I smeared Vicks under my nose and started scrubbing the carpet. 6 points. 2 large, 2 medium and 2 small. 2 small ones came with the 1st application of what we had on hand but by morning the other 4 pages were almost gone. I went out and bought Nature's Miracle Advanced in the red tin (not the orange bottle/oxy formula); it was the strongest thing our local pet store was selling. For about 5 days I used this daily, often twice a day. He did a good job smoothing out the stains. Now the carpet only looked soiled with who-knows-what, not everything-knows-what. It wasn't good enough so I ordered Revain's Nature's Miracle with Oxy Formula. It was a last ditch effort to save the carpet before hiring someone to clean it professionally (again, I had it cleaned before the house went up for sale). It took me 2 days to receive my package and 2 days to apply and follow the instructions BUT it worked! I had a friend try to find the spots and she failed. none. I will never be without it again and will be using it for the 1st time from now on.
