UPDATE: After 2 weeks, 7 out of 12 were leaking. The next day when I noticed the first 2 leaks I wondered if I had done anything but 5 more are now slowly filling with air in an unused closet. The door was only open to check in the bags. The problem should be minor, because after replacing the first 2, nothing was noticed on either the 2nd or the 5th day. I ordered 1 refill pack of 6 and left 12. Out of the 12 I have now, I'm using 9 and 5 of them are slowly filling with air. Even with leaks, they're better than the tubs I've used. But they are NOT sealed. Original: I had high hopes and low expectations. I was ready to be disappointed. I tried another brand a few years ago but was disappointed that they weren't actually "cubes" so I sent them back. They're not technically cubes, but they shrink into a "cube-like" shape if you help shape them while squeezing them. My mother lived with me for 16 years and was a bit stingy. She had recently moved, but was only able to take the bare essentials with her at first. Only her clothes were filled with (1) 50 gallon tub, (4) 26 gallon tub, and (6) 16.5 gallon tub. That's 253 gallons of clothes. I bought 2 packs of 6 vacuum bags. I was able to fit all her clothes in 8 of them and leave some space. These bathtubs occupied an area of 22 inches by 78 inches and were over 6 feet high. These 8 bags are now in a 22" x 48" closet stacked just under 6 feet high. That means each one will hold 30+ gallons of clothing and shrink about 2/3 a size. Having just bought them I can't vouch for their durability yet, but unless they're kept under vacuum for a legitimate amount of time I'll bet I'll be back to change my estimate. I give 2 stars simply because they are so big. If you try to travel with them, you will most likely pierce them. Bags of this size cannot be repeatedly moved without the plastic snagging. So I folded the bags flat with a plastic container at the bottom.
