Review on Purina Beneful Prepared Chicken Variety by Roberta Gonia

My dog is almost 16 years old and 2 years older than expected. I have always been very happy feeding him healthy foods that will keep him at a healthy weight. This included never giving him "human food" except for raw vegetables as a treat, or cottage cheese mixed with cooked rice on the rare occasion we accidentally ran out of food. Anyway, as his journey draws to a close, I feel like cuddling and eating is just a little pleasure he gets out of every day. Especially when his sight and hearing were almost gone. I like to mix 1/3 to 1/2 container of Purina Ready Meals with Beneful or Rachael Ray grain free dry food every night. In the morning I will do the same but in a much smaller portion. let me tell you a few years ago he got to the point where he didn't bother to eat anymore. Ever since I've been doing this, he's been following me around the house during lunch, trying to drag me into the kitchen like a matter of life and death (running in excitement!), and when I finally get there, he's jumping up and down down around 2-3 feet. in the air like it did when he was much younger. (He's a mini pin and they're known for hopping.) Although he used to hop much higher, 2-3 feet at a time until the food was laid, pretty impressive for a dog over 100 by human standards . I feel so good that I can bring a little bit more joy into his day as he loses a lot with age every week. As for the food. I open these containers and I see what looks like a liver or something that has been mixed and crushed in a jar disgustingly and comes out as a drip. I find a bowl of what looks like it's meant for me to eat. It has chunks of real chicken or beef (not ground) with whole chunks of carrots, peas, beans. reminds me of a stew or a casserole! Bravo, profitable! My dog is definitely one of your biggest fans! :-)
