Superb DECT 6.0 compatible BT cordless phone system

This superb DECT 6.0 product from AT&T is a pleasure to use. Bought to replace a much older 2 line 2.4Mhz 6 handset VTech wireless system. The feature set is rich and the performance is excellent. Setup is easy, but given the robust feature set, it takes some patience to get the hang of it. The handsets must be registered to the base station by placing them in the base station charging cradle, not in the handset chargers, for approximately 90 seconds. All telephones can be de-registered using the button on the base station. Highlights: 1) it's well built and looks good 2) the buttons are big and easy to use 3) the screens are bright and easy to read 4) the BT connection is great - I use it with an iPhone and was able to walk 2 3 floors of my home with an iPhone on my belt and without losing connection (although at home I usually just leave the iPhone on my desk near the base station, as Bluetooth connections always indicate beyond 30 feet. AT&T recommends staying within to stay 5) Catalog and caller ID protocol are fully integrated between the base and all handsets. Reliable directory of contacts exchanged between phones. The base station can transfer an extensive phone book from a paired mobile phone, which is available on all handsets. Can store numbers from caller ID log and redial lists in the directory. Great features! 6) Has PTT Walkie-Talkie and Intercom modes for talking between handsets or handsets and base station (Group PTT calling only works on the first 3 or 4 registered handsets if more than 5 handsets are registered, but each handset can receive a PTT call on a separate handset, or the base and base can call both handsets) 7) a full featured dial pad on the base - not available on previous similar AT&T models which I expected 8) has one full-featured auto-answer feature if you need it, but since I have the AT&T U-verse, I appreciate notifications of voicemail waiting and missed calls - if voicemails are waiting on the U-verse, the phone system lets me know. 9) has HD audio - the sound quality is the best I have ever experienced in a cordless phone system. 10) can hold up to 12 handsets, each of which can be given custom names, but only 4 (plus the base station). Have caller id callers with voice prompt if there are more than 5 in the system (but all have OSC caller id and log) 11) Date and time are read from caller id message tones to set up phones properly 12) Works with AT&T 7600 Wireless Headset: This model registers itself as another phone in the system and uses DECT 6 bandwidth instead of Bluetooth for communication, so the range is much longer than a Bluetooth headset (but you can connect a Bluetooth headset to plug in the base station if you wish).12 ) Available at a very attractive price for both base and mobile phones Uses NiMH batteries instead of lithium but so far they have lasted a long time when making calls does not charge and spare batteries are not too expensive. I highly recommend this product.
