I have been using a spaetzle press for many years. Ordered this to replace one I left at someone's house. All I can say is it's perfect! It's solidly built and will withstand all the abuse I've put it through. Anyone who says that the dough is too sticky or doesn't fall into the water isn't talking about the presses. With spaetzl, the dough consistency is the key to good dumplings. The dough should be thin enough to fall through the press, but not drip. Maybe just a little weaker than brownie batter.
