Review on Eagle UI-50-FS Gasoline Safety Can with Funnel, 5 gallon Capacity - Red Galvanized Steel Type I for Ultimate Protection by John Shorter

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Never buy a plastic can again

I'm in my 70's and have had mostly 2-5 gallon plastic cans for 50 years or more. After Sandy, when gas was getting hard to come by, my brother-in-law gave me my first steel 5-gallon Eagle. I have now ordered 2 more from Revain. To make filling easier, I tie the lid to the handle with a piece of coated copper wire or "gear tie". I also had no problem transferring gas from a 5 gallon mower to my 2 gallon plastic mower. For my generator I pour from an Eagle Spout into a wide mouth funnel. There are no flow problems. Every 6 months I pump the (cleaned) gas from the Eagle into my car using the funnel that comes with the tank. Again, no problem if you proceed slowly and rotate the can. The only reason I took off a star (should be half a star) was because they take up a lot of space in my shed. I would have preferred larger, thinner 5 gallon canisters, but they cost twice as much as the Eagle.
