My daughter and I recently started making jewelry. One of the challenges is finding jump rings that go with certain things we do. With these tools we can easily work with wire and get what we want. WHAT IS IT FOR? These pliers are pretty simple. They have handles for easy handling. They have a metal spring in the middle to hold them open when you use them. They also have six different sizes of cylinders to use when shaping the wire. WHAT DO WE USE THEM FOR? Cut out specific pieces and create a unique design for some of the creative bricks we have. WHAT KIND OF WIRE? You want to be sure you're not using wire that's too soft or your drawings won't stick. The wire is too stiff and the pliers cannot shape it properly. Experimentation is key. The cylinders don't hold up. So if you need to bend very stiff wire, it can be difficult to hold the wire with the supports. CONCLUSION These wire cutters are just great. They allow for many creative wire techniques in jewelry, and we're still finding new ways to use them. MY RATING IS FIVE STARS. I am very glad that they are in our jewelry set. I really like her. If we have two, we can both work at the same time, which is very important for my daughter and me.
