I used to have slow closing Mayfair seats in my house. Eventually they will loosen and their slow-closing hinges will stop working, requiring you to force them back into the frame. It was listed as a "newer design" so I thought I'd give it a try. This is without a doubt the WORST toilet seat design I have ever seen. Nylon screws attach to nylon fittings and are not adjustable. He moves. There is simply no way to tighten it enough that it will NOT move. It's almost impossible to get it back in place. Putting the seat on and off is a clumsy procedure that will absolutely break as its ill-fitting and flimsy nylon parts are not built to last. The old toilet seat was MUCH better than this one despite its flaws. Mayfair has definitely lost me as a customer. Save time, effort and money and choose a different brand. This seat is just poorly constructed.
