I replaced the HU, wanted to keep the original bose amp and speakers, not sure if the bose amp gets RCA level or speaker level, the new HU only has one speaker output, bose works not with this speaker, but the volume control overly sensitive, and with a slight "buzz" every time the volume is toggled from 0 to 1. I bought this LP7-4 hoping to fix the volume oversensitivity and "hum". Installation and connection are easy and the instructions are simple and clear. This unit comes with a remote control which I did not connect to my Bose amp as it was already connected via remote. The converter works even if you don't connect the power and ground wires, it's a passive converter, this thing is quiet and doesn't make any noise from the engine or generator, compact size and looks solid, that's a plus. That sounds good.
