Doesn't work: computer cable adapter

My SanDisk 128GB flash drive is not recognized when using a dongle. Can't access anything. With the lightning/power, HDMI and USB ports connected to the adapter, my iPhone 11 charges fine through the lightning cable. Also, I can view the mirror via HDMI. However, my flash drive and therefore the files (images and videos) on it are not recognized. For what it's worth, use the iXpand Drive app. Unable to access flash drive. Also, it's not a flash drive. I have tried 2 other and different brands.
